Don Moore promoted to vice president, design engineering

Lexington, KY (December 21, 2011)—Don Moore has been promoted to vice president, design engineering for Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company effective January 1, 2012. Chuck Martz, Link-Belt's chairman, CEO, and president made the announcement at the company's headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky, USA.

After graduating from Ohio State University in 1977, Moore joined Link-Belt as an associate design engineer in the Tower Gantry Crane Product Group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He then moved to the Lattice Boom Crawler Product Group where he became a senior design engineer. In 1986, Moore transferred to Lexington, Kentucky, when that facility began manufacturing lattice products. Since then, Moore has managed various design functions including hydraulic cranes, on-highway carriers, and, most recently, all lattice and telescopic crawler products.

"I believe Don's extensive experience working with our full product line, our parent company, Sumitomo Heavy Industries, and, most importantly, our customers makes him exceptionally qualified for this position on our executive team," said Martz.
